Happy Easter 2010

Here is Miss Alyssa before we left for church!
The picture above is of Daddy n Alyssa before we left, I just love them both to death!

The night before Josh and I colored Alyssa's Easter Eggs, 6 cute little eggs for a cute little 6 month old. I also got her basket together and had it waiting for her, a huge lamb, Easter bunny, a book, and a new sippy cup which she doesn't like! She loves books!

This is Alyssa putting her first egg in the basket! This one was plastic because we had them originally and I couldn't stand the thoughts of not coloring eggs for her first Easter!

Daddy and Alyssa finding an egg by the big tree!

Whoa, Alyssa found one!
We had such an amazing day that day, we got up and went to church together! Then returned home to visit with family! Alyssa got somewhere between 6 and 7 Easter baskets. I know, a little spoiled but we have a big family! :) Then later that evening Josh, Alyssa, & I went out to hunt eggs! She was so funny, thinking what are these people doing and what are these things they keep making me pick up! But she did good, loved the colors and it was nice just the three of us celebrating Alyssa's First Easter! It was such an enjoyable day, Alyssa had a blast as did we! She did love the grass in her basket, pulling it out and stretching it all over the living room floor! It was too cute! I cant wait to see her next year!

6 Months Old & Growing so FaSt!

I really haven't had the time to post lately, life seems to go so quickly and we keep ourselves so busy we forget the little things and those things we seem to enjoy doing sometimes. Alyssa is 6 months and 3 weeks, I cant believe my little love bug will be approaching her 7 month so very soon. It seems like in the last few weeks that Alyssa has began to do so many new things, everyday it's something new. She can now pull her socks completely off, laugh for no reason other than to grab mommas attention, fake cough, reach for everything in her sight, throw a fit by leaning backwards and shaking her head, crying like someone has killed her literally, clap her hands together, roll over completely until its time to pull her arm out from under her belly and then flops back onto her back, and many others little things in which I'm sure I haven't caught yet. She is learning how to hold her own bottle, but seems to forget she is doing it when she decides to do something else and lets it fall down.

She is trying so hard to wave "bye bye" and say it as well. She says Dada and other little jabbers! She went for her 6 month well check and shots a few weeks ago, she seems to be doing much better with the shots as she gets older except for those that burn or sting when injected. She was 25 inches long ( 50th percentile) 14 lb 15.5 oz (25th percentile). She is now better adjusting to tummy time, although we still only last 5 minutes at most. She can sit with support but still wants to lean sideways or completely forward until her face in almost on the floor. She is taking step 2 foods and eating them like a little pro. I did sneak her some mashed potatoes the other day, she loved them! I can not express the feeling I have inside when I look at, talk to, talk about my little love. I would have never imagined I could feel a love so great! I am so grateful to My Lord for he has blessed me so!
